KAMP
CHIEFSWOOD
Since 1992, our Club has provided a summer camp for community referred children in our community. This day camp is held at Kiwanis Apps Mill Park, a facility, located directly beside a picturesque nature conservation area, and owned and operated by this Club. The cost of operating the summer camp is supported by the fees, donations, and subsidization by the Club.
Kamp Chiefswood offers a variety of camps to meet the unique needs of the campers between the ages of 6 and 12 years. Camp sessions for 2010 begin on June 28th and end on August 13th.
Our Summer Fun Camps are one week educationally based camps that are structured around both subject and theme based activities. These weeks are for campers who may not otherwise be able to attend camp due to financial restraints.
Our Leadership Camps are one week camps that offers campers a chance to develop skills in their talent areas while honing leadership skills in both large and small group situations. This camp would best suit a child who demonstrates talents and ability in academic, arts, or athletic areas.
Camp applications are available in the area schools beginning in April.
