Since 1992, our Club has provided a summer camp for community referred children in our community. This day camp is held at Kiwanis Apps Mill Park, a facility, located directly beside a picturesque nature conservation area, and owned and operated by this Club. The cost of operating the summer camp is supported by the fees, donations, and subsidization by the Club.
Kamp Chiefswood offers a variety of camps to meet the unique needs of the campers between the ages of 6 and 12 years. Camp sessions for 2010 begin on July 5th and end on August 20th.

Our Leadership Camps offer 2 one-week camps or 1 two-week camp. The Leadership Camp is designed to facilitate co-operative learning in an inquiry based atmosphere. The experiences at Leadership Camp include choices from a variety of theme options in the areas of science, drama, music, social studies, and other academic areas. Two afternoons each week are spent swimming at Brant Park Community Pool. For the remainder of the week, co-operative skill building tasks are facilitated. One of the most anticipated features of our leadership program is the Parent's Night Performance. Throughout the week(s), campers spend time planning and practicing for the performance, based on their themed groups. On the Thursday of the second week, after the presentation, campers are given the opportunity to camp-out under the supervision of Kamp staff. Breakfast and transportation home on the Friday morning is provided. Themes and activities change weekly.
