Kiwanis Apps Mill Park is a facility, located at 335 Robinson Road,
Brantford, owned and operated by the Kiwanis Club of Brantford. The facility was
constructed by the Club in 1980 on Grand River Conservation Authority land with
funds from the sale of Kiwanis's Port Dover site, club donations, and a major
community fund raising campaign.
It was built to replace a facility in Port Dover that
was used to provide a camping experience for disadvantaged children in the
community. Kiwanis Apps Mill Park continues to be the location for K.A.M.P.
Chiefswood, a day camp run during the months of July and August for needy
children in the community.
The operating costs of the facility are paid for through
income from renting the facility to various groups and individuals as well as
funding from the Club.
The facility may be rented for weekend retreats, family
gatherings, wedding receptions, youth and children's groups, Christmas parties,
etc etc.
Seating capacity is 140 people with sleeping accommodations
for 54 guests.
Information regarding renting this facility may be
obtained by calling the K.A.M.P. office at (519) 753-7442.
